A Word About Us
The Seffner Church of Christ is composed of a group of Christians meeting as the body of Christ. We recognize Jesus Christ as the head of the body, the Church (Col.1:18). We accept the Bible as the complete and inerrant Word of God, and the New Testament as our sole authority and the pattern for our worship. We strive to follow God's word and worship him according to His will, doing only those things authorized in the New Testament. We are self-supporting and independent of other churches.
If You Visit With Us
We meet each Lord's day to worship God as taught in the Bible. We invite you to attend any of our services. When you meet with us you will find that the Bible, and not a creed written by men, is the source for our worship. We ask that you open your Bible and read for yourselves to see whether what we teach and practice is the truth as revealed in the Word of God (Acts 17:11). You will not find us attempting to entertain nor will you find the confusion of many people speaking at the same time (I Cor.14:33). During our worship you will see one of the men lead the thoughts of the congregation in prayer (I Tim.2:1-8). There will also be acapella, congregational singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to praise God and edify one another (Eph.5:19). The Lord's supper will be offered to all Christians in memory of the death and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (I Cor.11:23-26). A collection will be taken from our members. This is a freewill offering to support the work of the church (I Cor.16:1-2). Visitors are under no obligation to contribute. There will be a sermon from the Holy Scriptures. The speaker will present lessons designed to increase our knowledge and understanding of the Bible (II Tim.3:16-17). You are encouraged to open your Bible and follow along. We welcome questions and will be happy to spend time in further study with you.
